Homemade Pie Crust
Homemade pie crust is one life’s little luxuries. No, really! It’s an incredibly easy thing to do that elevates any pie or quiche to the next level! Who doesn’t want maximum results for minimal effort!? The food processor is really the work horse here, making this well worth the extra 10 minutes it’ll take you!
Simple combine three household ingredients, flour, salt and butter - with a touch of water (I’m not counting water as an ingredient!) and you have a double batch of pie crust that can go from sweet to savory and beyond!

Homemade Butter Pie Crust
Makes 2 crusts
2 c. AP flour
pinch of salt
2 sticks of butter, chilled
3 tbs. ice water
In the bowl of a food processor, combine salt and flour.
Cut the butter into small pats and add to bowl. Pulse until a coarse meal forms.
Add some of the water, turn on food processor and let run until a ball of dough forms. If dough does not come together add a bit more water. If it's too sticky add some more flour.
Turn dough out onto a floured surface, knead gently until completely smooth. Pinch into 2 pieces and form 2 rounds. Wrap each in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Or freeze dough for later. Bring to room temperature before using.
